A conference for anyone working with Children and Young People
The Youth in Mind conference is an amazingly rich continuing professional development and networking opportunity designed to engage and upskill anyone working with children and young people. Delivered by Oxfordshire Youth, the county’s leading youth charity and Oxfordshire Mind, this conference is jam-packed with practical takeaways.
Join us in 2024 as we unite young people, mental health professionals, school staff, community leaders and everyone working with children and young people to explore our theme, “Safe spaces – emotional, physical, and digital.” Enjoy upskilling as we delve into strategies to foster emotional resilience, explore how we create safe physical spaces, and navigate the complexities of the digital world.
Save the date and be a part of the transformative Youth in Mind conference! Tuesday 25th June at King’s Centre, Oxford OX2 0ES
At Youth in Mind 2023, we learnt from, networked with and found out more about: Dr. Sarah Hughes, C.E.O. of Mind; Anne Coyle, Oxfordshire County Council’s newly appointed Interim Director of Children’s Services; Mina Fazel, Professor of Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Oxford; Paul James, C.E.O. of one of the largest educational trusts in the countyand dozens more fascinating speakers and workshop facilitators.
Dr. Anisa-Ree Moses, an educational and child psychologist dedicating her career to meeting the needs of vulnerable pupils, explored the mental health crisis in schools and helped delegates to see how they could be part of the solution creation process. View the delegate pack to see how Youth in Mind allows you to immerse yourself and your staff team in neurodiversity, child and adolescent mental health services, recovery, psychology and the world of nature play amongst so many more topics! Participants can choose from a huge range of workshops designed to inform and revitalise. And we haven’t even mentioned the West Kidlington Primary School students explaining how they care for each other in their mental health den, or the spoken word and musical performances from young people that rounded off an amazing day!
Youth in Mind is a one-of-a-kind event for Oxfordshire, a unique chance to meet and learn from Thames Valley Police, school and NHS staff, youth workers, in fact, anyone working with children and young people. Against a back-drop of budget constraints and service cuts, we always seize this opportunity for cross-sector creative thinking and problem solving.
We’re already planning Youth in Mind 2024, and have a very special keynote speaker lined up. See you there!
