What is a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner? (PWP)

PWPs work with people with mild-moderate anxiety and depression.  They undertake patient-centred assessments and treatments both face-to-face and over the telephone delivering evidence based low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy through a variety of different methods. These include psychoeducational courses and computerised CBT programmes.

We offer excellent supervision and CPD and training to support career progression. We actively encourage innovation and research with opportunities for collaborations with Oxford Academic Health Science Network, University of Oxford Department of           Psychiatry and Department of Experimental Psychology.

 

Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

Apprenticeship route with training by Oxford Health NHS Foundation trust, Learning and Development team, resulting in Graduate Certificate in Evidence based Psychological Treatment. We recruit two intakes a year in April and September.

 

Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

The post holder is required to have achieved the Graduate/ Post Graduate Certificate in      Evidence based Psychological Treatment (IAPT Pathway).

 

Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

The post holder is required to have achieved the Graduate/Post Graduate Certificate in      Evidence based Psychological Treatment (IAPT Pathway) and completed, currently training or be willing to undertake the IAPT Accredited PWP Supervisor Training and official LTC training. Applicants must have at least 6 months experience as a Qualified PWP by the time the role commences.
