Community Mental Health Framework

As part of the NHS Long Term Plan, the Community Mental Health Framework is a new way of working that will improve mental health services so that GPs, mental health teams and other support organisations in the community work better together.

We are coproducing this new framework to make sure that service users and carers are at the heart of this transformation. Coproduction and co-design leads to services and other support that provides better health outcomes and an overall improvement in people’s experience of mental health services.

Do you or a friend or family member have experience of using adult or older adult mental health services and other mental health support within Oxfordshire? Could you help us to make improvements to these? Would you be able to attend one of our online workshops?

We will be holding 3 online workshops:

Banbury area workshop

Tuesday 15th December at 10.00 am

Oxford City area workshop

Tuesday 15th December at 14.00pm

Abingdon area workshop

Thursday 17th December at 13.00pm

If the time of the workshop for your area does not suit please do feel free to attend one of the others.

The workshops will provide an introduction to the Community Mental Health Framework and we would also like to take this opportunity to gather your views on the current services and support provided for people in Oxfordshire, by asking you in the workshop:

  • What are the problems in getting the support you would like for your mental health?
  • What can we do to make your mental health support more ‘joined up’?
  • How would you like to be involved in helping us improve the ways that people get support?

The workshop will be held using Microsoft Teams. So please respond to this email or contact Beth Morphy or Diane Hilson with your email address so that we can send you an invite to the workshop.

You can join via a smartphone, ipad or computer. You will be required to download the Microsoft Teams app to your device. You are not required to open the app or sign in, you can join as a guest by clicking on the link that will be sent to you in an email.

If you are unable to attend any of the workshops, but would like to help us, please email us to find out about other ways you can get involved.

We look forward to hearing from you.
