Fundraising with a difference
The Oxford Drunken Knitwits are a social and knitting group who have gone the extra mile with their crafting to create a knitting installation around the Radcliffe Camera in Oxford.
They put a call out to ask for donations of knitted or crocheted flowers, insects and other garden delights and the response was overwhelming. Lovely creations came flooding in. The group were really pleased with the response as they couldn’t believe how much people took to the idea.
The end result was decorating the Radcliffe Camera with lengths of fauna and flora. And they even got into the Oxford Mail!
The fundraising element was introduced through hanging cards with information on how people could donate to support the work of Oxfordshire Mind.
