World Mental Health Day

Get Oxfordshire Talking this World Mental Health & Homeless Day 🌎

The 10th of October sees both World Mental Health Day and World Homeless Day marked. Mental health problems and homelessness can affect anyone, any day or time of the year, but the 10th of October brings an excellent opportunity to show your support.

Get Oxfordshire Talking is the county’s biggest mental health conversation. Happening this year on World Mental Health Day, it’s a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives.

We know there’s a link between Mental health and homelessness. We hold this event in partnership because these two topics are so closely intertwined. We Recognise the impact Homelessness has on a person’s Mental health.

The day is about creating supportive communities by having conversations with friends, family or colleagues.

We want to get Oxfordshire talking about the ever-growingly important subject of Mental Health & Homelessness.

We’re reaching out to organisations across Oxfordshire, including the Oxfordshire Homeless Movement, to ask them to share this message on Monday, the 10th of October, to show your support for mental health and homelessness. We aim to get our message out as far as possible to show we are all here, willing to listen and support whoever needs it.
