In early July, the annual Oxford University Hockey Club tour was supposed to take place in Krakow. Despite the tour no longer going ahead, the club have not let their spirits be dampened. Instead, each of the seven teams, along with a team of alumni, have banded together to run the distance from Oxford to Krakow. Cumulatively, that’s 13,912 km!
Oxfordshire Mind was chosen as one of the teams to be supported by this extraordinary effort, along with six other charities. After initially setting a target of £1,500, they’ve now reached a brilliant £3000. All of this whilst the students were overcoming challenges of attending their lectures and tutorials virtually and taking online finals from their homes.
A huge thank you to OUHC for their fantastic effort, and to everyone who has supported their fundraising!
