Last week The Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership hosted #MyLifeFest2019 at Didcot Civic Hall.
The event featured live music from across the partnership including Abingdon Mind Music Band and Angels of Hope, a drama performance staged by service users of the Oxfordshire Mind city wellbeing hub, face painting, an art exhibition and much more!
Grace Holland, Service User Involvement Coordinator, said; “Coordinating My Life Fest 2019 with people who have lived experience has been an incredible experience. The enthusiasm, tenacity, creative ideas and solutions that have come from this power-sharing process have meant that we developed an exciting community focused event!”
Liz Shire, a service user representative from the ‘My Life Fest’ working group, said; “I’d just like to say it’s been a great experience being involved.
I’ve met lots of lovely people throughout my journey as a service user and being involved with the event. Prior to being a service user myself I wasn’t aware of all the support available, I’m very grateful for all the support I’ve received.”
