Free NHS talking therapy service TalkingSpace Plus reaches out this Mental Health Awareness Week
Kindness and our mental health are deeply connected. Lives can be transformed by a simple act of kindness; a smile or a phone call to break through the loneliness of social distancing to remind people of community support, and hope.
At TalkingSpace Plus we know how important all acts of kindness are for the thousands of people across Oxfordshire who may be feeling stressed, anxious or low this week.
Take our hand as we reach out this Mental Health Awareness Week.
Joanne Ryder, is consultant counselling psychologist and clinical lead for TalkingSpace Plus.
She said: “ Covid-19 has put new pressures on all of us, if you struggling, be kind to yourself and take the first step towards your better mental health. We have dedicated mental health professionals keen to hear from you and waiting to help you now.
“We will work with you to improve your mood, lessen your anxiety and help you feel less stressed. You do not have to come to our clinic to get help.
“We are able to work with you at home in the way you feel most comfortable, whether on the phone or online.”
TalkingSpace Plus is a free, confidential NHS service available to anyone over the age of 18, registered with a GP in Oxfordshire, offering psychological therapies and wellbeing activities to over 14,000 people each year.
