Don’t Mind if you Dance: raised £282

On the 4th July fundraisers, from the Mill in Oxford City, came together to spin and shimmy across the dance floor for more than five hours in aid of Oxfordshire Mind. Together they raised a fantastic £282! The danceathon event started at 3:00pm and ran until 8.30pm at the Oxfordshire Mind Cowley Wellbeing Centre. ‘Don’t Mind if you Dance’ was a big success with over 40 people attending and taking part, ensuring the dance floor was not left empty! The event was co-ordinated by Oxfordshire Mind City Wellbeing Work Max, who together with service users created a fun event for all!

Oxfordshire Mind service user Thomas Phillips said: “The Mill and Oxfordshire Mind has been a lifesaver. The mix of social drop-in, stimulating company with tireless dedicated support from staff has done wonders. It has transformed my life from one of isolation, depression and anxiety to one I mostly enjoy, and given me the confidence to participate in society again. I’m so happy and pleased to support this danceathon.”
