Would you like to support someone 1-1 and help them to manage a difficult time?
Attending benefits assessments can be anxiety provoking for many people and the feedback from the first few months of this role has been overwhelmingly positive. There is really good evidence that having a volunteer present at the assessment is extremely valuable for the client.
Appointments take place in Oxford City and your commitment can be extremely flexible, signing up for 2-3 hours whenever you’re able.
No benefits knowledge is required! This is all about giving people moral support and a listening ear.
A training day will be running at Osney on Friday 21st July – why not come along and see what it’s all about? To book a place email volunteering@oxfordshiremind.org.uk
If you know anyone else who may be interested in volunteering in this role please do ask them to get in touch or complete an application form through the Oxfordshire Mind website here: https://mindposts.local/get-involved/volunteering/apply-to-volunteer/
