The new Banbury Wellbeing Hub opened on Wednesday 1 June at Britannia Road with great support.
This week Oxfordshire Mind were really pleased to open a new Wellbeing Hub in Banbury. The centre will give our Wellbeing Service a base to deliver a range of activities for the local community. On offer there will be:
- Information and Options sessions
- Practical Ways to Wellbeing and Coping Skills Courses
- Peer support groups
The Town Mayor of Banbury came along and spoke to us about his personal experience of having loved ones with mental health issues. There was a wishing tree that people could post what they wanted from the Hub, or any feelings they had related to mental health at all. Everyone got involved with card making and a discussion on Five Ways to Wellbeing.
There was also plenty of tea, coffee and great chats to go round.
Thank you to everyone who came along to the day and made it a success. We look forward to welcoming the Banbury community to the Hub into the future.
