Four wonderful students from Larkmead School organised a film night for year 7 students, as well as a teacher’s karaoke, to raise awareness and funds for Oxfordshire Mind. Through this, they raised £134.70 for our cause.
Alice and Jane, two of the students, explained their reasons for supporting us:
“Mental health is becoming a more pressing issue and in our lifetime we will either experience or know someone suffering from a mental illness (with one in four people experiencing a mental health problem each year). We began to raise awareness through our fundraising to ensure students struggling do not feel alone and feel more confident to ask for help”.
